Recent Projects
Bioscience Translation & Application has been providing confidential, behind the scene support to concept, startup and established companies since 2001. We frequently provide technology and market evaluations for discoveries from Federal research facilities as a contractor for the Robert C. Byrd National Technology Transfer Center in Wheeling, West Virginia (www.nttc.edu). Many of the technologies evaluated have been potential new pharmaceuticals; others new methods to accelerate the discovery process. These in-depth reports include assessment of the technology’s intellectual property position and technical merit as well as evaluation of the potential applications, competing products and market size and trends.
Expert regulatory reviews of labels and labeling are services frequently requested by food, cosmetic, dietary supplement and pharmaceutical companies. We have also provided background information to other consulting firms for reports for Theta Reports and for presentations to venture capitalists. Other recent projects include regulatory evaluation for a proposed over-the-counter drug product for an established pharmaceutical company and compliance evaluation of labeling for dietary supplement and cosmetic products for small startups.
We recently investigated the path through the FDA that would be required for a unique combination product and reported to the client on the type of testing and submissions that would be needed to enter the marketplace. Several recent projects have utilized Bioscience Translation & Application’s expertise to provide regulatory affairs information on FDA submissions as well as product labeling for nutritional supplement, food, cosmetic and over-the-counter drug products.
In the area of product development, Bioscience Translation & Application™ has consulted with a startup companies applying newly patented technology to raw material preparation for the food and dietary supplement market.
